There are several classes you can take related to this organization.

Start here:

  1. What’s available for websites? 4 options:
    • You can choose between Faculty WordPress (for Labs, Projects, and individuals) or UCSC WordPress (for administrative, departmental, or major established centers).
    • Additionally, you can use Google Sites (which is easier to use but less customizable).
    • Another option is just filling out your entry in the Campus Directory.
    • (Lastly, you could pay to host your website elsewhere, but we advise using UCSC’s free services, support, and the UCSC brand to really give your project visibility.)
  2. Choose your WordPress:
  3. Basic WordPress training: adding text, links, and images (video)
  4. Necessary Information: Accessibility Guide (website)
  5. After you do the above, reach out to us to tweak the settings on your website for an easier to edit, and more modern looking, website. We will activate the block editor, and also make your template more modern.
